Engynious BOARD

Ted Scheidegger is founder of the Engynious Group (2001) to which he brings broad international management experience. The Swiss-Canadian spent 24 years in the energy sector where he held various executive positions worldwide at large industrial companies including Siemens, Invensys and Emerson. He is both a pioneer and expert in the photovoltaics industry as he already served from 1995-1998 as CFO at Siemens Solar LLP, California, later as CEO of the integrated module manufacturer Sovello from 2008-2011, and until the beginning of 2013 as Division CEO of Siemens Solar & Hydro.

Ted is experienced in entrepreneurship, fundraising and the management of start-ups. He co-founded the start-up Sovello Projects (Soventix), founded the Carbon & Energy segment of the Precious Woods Group and governed their IPO. At Precious Woods he could also foster his special interests in sustainability and climate change topics.

At Engynious, the entrepreneur seeks out disruptive and distributed approaches to make renewables a true alternative for sustainable long term supply and use of energy.

Ted holds a PhD in industrial business administration and  information technology from the University of Kiel.
